Support for Divisions Within Schools
New Feature
The Involve School Portal now supports schools with multiple internal divisions (e.g., Prep / Primary and Secondary). This allows you to maintain common settings at the whole-school level while customising key settings per division. Staff assigned to a specific division will only see students in that division by default, simplifying their day-to-day experience in Involve.
Division-level settings now include:
- Pod and student visibility — Staff see only students in their assigned divisions by default, with the option to view the whole school
- Behaviour notifications — Attributes remain consistent across divisions, but notification settings can differ
- Missing lesson notifications — Configurable per division (notification timings remain school-wide)
- Register and absence monitoring — Configurable per division
- Parent messaging — Configurable per division
- Staff absence routing — Control which pods receive absence and holiday requests per division
As needed, we will continue to split more settings from "whole school" to "per division". If your school is currently set up as two or more linked schools within Involve School Portal and you'd like to migrate to using Divisions, please get in touch!
